HBC was recently selected as one of the Best Places to Work in
Los Angeles and Orange County. This marks the fifth year in a row that HBC has
been nominated in Orange County and the fourth year for Los Angeles. The annual
awards program was created by the Los Angeles Business Journal, Orange
County Business Journal, and Workforce Research Group.
This survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best employers in Los Angeles and Orange County, benefiting the counties’ economies, workforces, and businesses. The survey ranks small, medium and large companies on subjects such as leadership, corporate culture, and communications, among others. Companies from across the counties entered the employer assessment process to determine the Best Places to Work in Los Angeles and Orange County.
The first part, which evaluated each nominated company's benefits, policies, practices, and demographics was worth approximately 20% of the total evaluation. The second part, an anonymous employee survey designed to measure the employee experience, was worth approximately 80% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings. Workforce Research Group managed the overall registration and survey process in both Los Angeles and Orange County, analyzed the data, and determined the final rankings.
