Working Wardrobes Clothing Drive

02/15/2023

Throughout the month of January, HBC held a clothing drive in both the OC and LA offices to benefit Working Wardrobes, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping disadvantaged individuals obtain employment. HBC employee-owners and their families brought in gently used professional clothes to donate to the organization, which ranged from business casual attire, formal suiting, shoes, and accessories. In total, HBC donated over 650 items of clothing.

With these items, Working Wardrobes will provide styling services to people facing employment barriers and, ultimately, arm these people with the skills and confidence needed to achieve the dignity of work and build lasting economic stability for themselves and their families. The recent clothing drive is just one of the many ways that HBC has partnered with Working Wardrobes. Our Talent Acquisition & Development specialist, Agnes Cimino, has been volunteering with them since November, providing career counseling, including mock interviews, job search assistance, resume writing, and styling clients for their interviews. Working Wardrobes was also one of the recipients of HBC’s 2022 Choose Your Charity campaign.
