Project Description

Integrating eight of its major brands, this media giant’s new west coast headquarters encompasses 210,000 square feet across six floors and two outdoor event spaces in Hollywood’s Columbia Square. Built with creativity and collaboration in mind, the completed facility offers open office workstations and executive offices, as well as a bevy of collaborative conference rooms, open tables, lounges, and a craft services area that offers a happy hour to encourage social gatherings. Wi-Fi and video conferencing capabilities were also added throughout the space to offer employees and guests complete mobility. Other building highlights include a 2,500 square foot “Destination Room” for training sessions, employee town meetings, and special events as well as two state-of-the-art performance stages and production areas equipped with control rooms, social network interfaces, and connectivity to all global locations. The design incorporated many upscale enhancements which brought the space to life. Such features include Italian and Mosaic tile, polished concrete pathways, custom millwork and light fixtures, and over 100 pieces of original artwork hand selected by Viacom. Crowning the project is a 6,500 square foot outdoor terrace equipped with resort-style patio amenities and gaming equipment and an elevated roof deck with spectacular panoramic views used for employee gatherings, production shoots, and live feeds.
