Project Description

With five other locations nationwide, the Chicago School of Professional Psychology opened its sixth location in Irvine with the help of Howard Building Corporation and local architects at Robert Borders & Associates. The design architect, based in Chicago, set the standard for all TCSPP facilities, and the team at Robert Borders made the transition of the design to California's stringent code requirements seamless. Careful coordination and constant communication through the entire project allowed team members in both Chicago and Southern California to successfully navigate the build process of the newest TCSPP location. Rich wood details, unique lighting, and state-of-the-art audio visual capabilities define the design features in the Chicago School of Professional Psychology project. Howard Building Corporation engaged highly skilled millworkers to execute the installation of extensive wood paneling throughout the space and more specifically in specially designed common seating areas. Matching wood doors and a carefully selected color palette continue the rich finishes in the space. Unique light fixtures and light sources hidden in cove ceilings complete the aesthetic of many feature areas. TCSPP brought the audio visual specialists to the project, and Howard Building Corporation worked closely to coordinate schedule and installation with them. With many large classrooms equipped with advanced audio visual technology, the AV installation process was a crucial part of the overall build-out.
