Project Description

High-tech improvements were made during an overhaul of the cyber-security developer’s corporate offices. The project was a phased restack of the entire building, totaling 320,000 square feet. Phase one included the entire third floor, which was raised to accommodate the power supply, necessary voltages, and an HVAC system. Soundscape baffle materials were implemented into the two open office areas, and a combination of pendant, ACT, and recessed lighting illuminate the entire space. Phase two included 128,000 square feet across the 1st, 2nd, and 4th floors. This phase followed the same design cues from phase 1 with the addition of a new server room. The scope during phase three included “white-boxing” the remaining 126,000 square feet while removing a “server-farm” and corresponding infrastructure. Clean lines and dark features are resonant throughout as a testament to Symantec’s strong and bold presence in their industry.
