Project Description
Gibson Dunn has been a part of the Los Angeles landscape since the Firm's founding in 1890. Today it is home to one-quarter of the Firm's attorneys. The Los Angeles office resides on 10 floors over 225,000 square feet and provides the global law firm a stately presence in the Los Angeles market.Howard Building Corporation has had a relationship with the firm for more than two decades and has teamed with architects at Gensler for the vast majority of the projects that have arisen in that time. As a long-standing client, the respect and trust that has been established between the firms goes beyond just the projects and exists between the teams the people- who have worked together all these years.
The Los Angeles office is characterized by extensive glass and stone features, which create an elegant environment. Rich wood veneer panels are used extensively throughout the space, including in private perimeter offices and at built-in workstations. All support staff work stations are detailed with custom millwork as well. Light sources, most often hidden in ceiling coves, create diffused light effects, and large digital monitors throughout the space are centrally programmed for visual display. Four separate open stairwells connect adjoining floors, two of which have expansive 12 foot ceilings. The space projects an impressive sense of the firm.
