Project Description

A two-phase 18,600 square foot design-build was completed in an occupied 80,000 square foot building. Spanning two floors, the hybrid office and laboratory space was constructed for the life science testing company. Extensive structural reinforcements were completed above the first floor laboratory space to support the installation of the heavy equipment on the second floor. Strategic equipment installation, some of which was relocated from their Santa Ana location, included walk-in coolers, incubators, autoclaves, and boilers. The scope of work also featured an exterior trash chute that extended from the second floor. All new rooftop units and platforms were added to support both floors. Close coordination with vendors was required to coordinate MEP placement and hookups.
