Quest Diagnostics Clinical Trial Facility
CLPF Specialty Labs
Howard Building Corporation architects at Anderson Associates teamed to renovate and upgrade the 35,000 square foot Quest Diagnostics Clinical Trials laboratory facility where a majority of the company's treatment testing occurs. The integrated laboratory facility provides central laboratory, biomarker and esoteric testing, and anatomic pathology services. Several labs were completely reconfigured to an open lab environment requiring mobile lab benches, hoods and utilities to be relocated. Walk-in refrigerators were built in several locations and new sinks, vacuum lines, industrial hot and cold water lines, DI water, gases and lighting were installed as well. A number of the labs were classified as Biosafety Level (BSL) 2 and were supported by the upgraded exhaust system that serviced the entire facility as well as new emergency electrical panels and distribution. Work to the exterior of the building included a new entry canopy, ADA upgrades, new bollards, and renovation of the roof penthouse.
