Project Description

Despite their global reach, EY’s Los Angeles headquarters is a direct reflection of the company’s dedication to serving the surrounding community and supporting their local employees. Encased by an existing award-winning and LEED platinum certified building, the 150,000 square foot tenant improvement focuses on providing optimal working conditions by addressing wellness initiatives such as natural light, greenery, and flexibility. Los Angeles landmarks are central to the design—references to Venice Beach, Santa Monica, Griffith Park, Abbot Kinney, and the Hollywood Bowl line the walls—which inserts the international firm into the context of the immediate community. Panoramic views of the city through large windows strengthen this connection and provide employees with a feeling of openness that is hard to come by in Los Angeles. Various configurations, including glass-fronted offices, open area workstations, gathering hubs, and conference rooms support flexibility and movement throughout the space. This sense of continuous movement is reinforced by high-end millwork, intricate lighting, and custom flooring, in addition to a mix of elevated, exposed, and baffled ceiling work. Three wellness rooms, interactive art walls, and a vintage-inspired game room support EY’s mission to create a “better working world.”
