Ben is well-versed in corporate office tenant improvements, including ground-up, warm-shell, and multiphase projects. His strategy is tactful, and he approaches problems with a level head. This, combined with clear communication and meticulous organization, allows him to manage expectations, prioritize tasks, and mitigate potential barriers before they arise. Ben’s favorite project was the Sunstone headquarters in Irvine because there was significant freedom in the design, allowing for a true teamwork approach. The challenges that each day brings, and the task-oriented nature of his job, keeps him motivated to tackle every hurdle with vigor.
I like the combination of structuring a very rigid weekly routine [and] the necessary flexibility that’s required in construction. With weekly meetings, to-do lists, and specific tasks that have deadlines, schedules need to be coordinated weeks in advance. But [sometimes], tentative plans go out the window, and being a member of a good team means readily adapting to needs as they ebb and flow.
