Rubbercraft designs, develops and manufactures custom elastomeric and rubber parts, components and systems for a wide variety of industries, including aerospace and defense, medical, and automobile manufacturing. Howard Building Corporation coordinated the relocation of their 180,000 square foot facility, requiring the move of specialized and customized heavy equipment created specifically for the company's unique manufacturing process.
Most of the equipment moved in the relocation was more than 30 years old. Trolley car motors turn the rolling presses, and custom steam hydraulic stamping equipment is used to stamp final products. Due to the lack of any product manuals, each piece of equipment was meticulously cataloged and documented so it could be reinstalled in exactly the same way it was disassembled. The move was executed flawlessly, and the new facility was fully functional within the required schedule.
