Project Description

The American Business Bank was formed in 1997 when a small group of bankers decided to build a bank that specifically services middle market companies. To represent their unique approach to banking, they engaged architects at Simon Glover, Inc. and Howard Building Corporation to renovate their existing space in Torrance, California.

The five phase renovation included new carpet and paint throughout the 28,000 square foot space, new millwork features, stone accent flooring, and a completely redesigned boardroom. With recessed cove lighting, high end wood millwork, audio visual installation, and a custom designed, automated conference table, the boardroom became the jewel of the project. Most impressive was the gilded ceiling in the cove above the conference table. The project was completed with minimal impact to work flow, despite the office being occupied and running through all entire five phases of the project.
